2022 marked the 50th Anniversary of RCMA. Together, we are creating a brighter future for the faith-based meetings industry. Enjoy some stories from a few of the RCMA family!
"It was through RCMA that I attended my very first industry trade show in 2009. I was new to the world of conventions and loved the energy of the exhibit floor, receptions, and entertainment. And I loved having the opportunity to meet so many new people, many of whom have become lifelong friends. Having spent most of my 14-year career at VISIT Milwaukee as an RCMA member, the organization definitely holds a special place in my heart. Cheers to RCMA's 50 years and many more to come!”
–Megan Husband, VISIT Milwaukee
“My favorite memory of RCMA is the fact that, no matter how long you have been away, whether seeking your fortune at multiple hotel properties, changing markets as a sales manager, or taking a rest during a world pandemic, when you are ready to come home, like the prodigal son, you are welcomed with open arms. I have made life-long friends that are simply a phone call away, even in the darkest of hours as we all face this dilemma of trying to meet face-to-face. Like the North star, RCMA guides our path with purpose, sincerity, and professionalism.”
–David Law, Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas / Frisco Hotel and Convention Center
RCMA was the very first Tradeshow that I attended in my new position as Sales Manager for the Adams Mark Hotel, Indianapolis, IN. The Adam's Mark is no longer in existence. I was totally frightened as I am an introvert. I had met someone in Indianapolis, who became a lifelong friend, Rev. Dr. John Foulkes. He was an instrumental part of RCMA and took me around and introduced me to many people at the conference. Everyone was friendly and I eventually met many more lifelong friends like the late Mr. Bill Williams (Mr. Chicago) and the outstanding Stella Beene Venson who is an influencer to all. There are many more lifelong relationships I've built from RCMA like Rev. Wilma Taylor, Mark Winner, Tommy Keown and so many more. I love the RCMA family.”
– Rev. Dr. Crystal Walker, Dayton Convention and Visitors Bureau
“My favorite RCMA memory was attending the EMERGE Conference for the first time in 2017. I was blown away by the experience! I felt the love and authentic essence of the connections made. As an independent faith-based planner I appreciate the quality caliber of suppliers and networking opportunities.”
