Remembering Bill Williams

We are saddened by the passing of W. “Bill” Williams, Jr., a long-time friend and member of RCMA. Willams served in the hospitality industry for over 40 years, including 37 years of exceptional service in Chicago, where he was vice president of Diversity/Sales for Choose Chicago until his retirement. Nationally, Williams is a recognized leader in the cause of furthering racial equality and opportunity in conventions and tourism industry.

Bill had a huge impact on Chicago, the meetings and hospitality market, and in his community, with accomplishments too numerous to mention. He touched many lives and treated everyone he met as a friend and equal, from the White House to the street corner. The RCMA family extends its deepest sympathy to his loved ones. Bill will be greatly missed.
