EMERGE 2023 Last-Minute Details

In just a few short days you'll be traveling to Chattanooga for the 2023 Emerge Conference. You’ll be immersed in education, surrounded by colleagues and exploring new opportunities! Here are just a few last-minute details that will help you finalize your plans for your trip to Chattanooga.

Registration - is located in the Chattanooga Convention Center on the Main Level – follow the signs. Bring your registration email (with barcode) with you. You can scan it at the self-service registration kiosk and complete the process in seconds. Registration is open Tuesday from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. 

Lodging – Hopefully, you’ve secured lodging at one of our convention hotels. You should have received an email confirmation directly from the hotel you selected. If you have not, please email Michele Kausch.

Airport Transportation – Chattanooga Tourism is providing Complimentary Airport Shuttles for Emerge Attendees. The service will be offered:

Monday, January 23 – 10:00 AM – 12:30 AM (every hour/on the hour)

Tuesday, January 24 – 10:00 AM – 12:30 AM (every hour/on the hour)

Friday, January 27 – 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM (every hour/on the hour from each hotel)

Parking - if you’re driving to Emerge, you’ll find parking options available at all of the conference hotels. If you are local and driving to the conference each day, the closest parking is located at the Chattanooga Convention Center – self parking is $20/day.

Dress Code - Business casual dress is appropriate for all conference events and activities. Check out the weather forecast below. If you registered for any of the service projects, bring appropriate work attire.

What to Bring - Plan to bring plenty of business cards! if you are a planner you will also want to bring a few copies of your current RFP for your event(s) as well as a one-sheet description of your event details (for those that don't need a full RFP). If you need a sample RFP to use as a model, click here.  

Education Session Handouts - many presenters will not be providing printed copies of their handouts. You may print your own copies, in advance.

Planner & Supplier Overviews - PLEASE make plans to attend the overview sessions at 4:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon. This session doesn't conflict with any other programming and you'll receive valuable information to help you maximize your Emerge experience! This session is REQUIRED of all hosted-planner participants. Your attendance will be recorded. It will be helpful, we promise!

Dinner on Free Night - if you're looking for great food and new friends during Wednesday's free night, consider trying a new restaurant with friends. Stop by the Chattanooga Tourism Visitor Kiosk near for ideas for great dining on your free night!  Chattanooga Restaurants 

Children’s Book Donations – Valley Forge Tourism and RCMA are partnering with Read20, a local literacy organization that encourages reading, in our annual book collection project. Please consider bringing a new or gently used children’s book as a donation to this project. Books appropriate for ages birth through Grade 5 are requested. You may drop books off in the Exchange – Valley Forge Booth #516.
