Now and Then Tour
Once a cotton and textile town, Charlotte has reinvented itself time and time again. While touring Uptown, witness the transformations for yourself: Former textile factories now serve as urban living concepts, and Victorian estates neighbor Craftsman-style bungalows. Relive the rich history of the region through the award-winning permanent exhibit Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers at the Levine Museum of the New South. Guests can experience a civil rights era sit-in at a lunch counter and try on a hat in an early Belk department store. Then make a quick stop at the 7th Street Public Market, North Carolina’s first food hall which provides high-quality, fresh and affordable food from local farms and regional purveyors.
City of Churches Tour
Charlotte is home to beautiful buildings and stunning modern architecture. But it’s the historic churches of diverse denominations adorned with beautiful arches, stained glass windows and chapels that make Charlotte’s houses of worship some of the prettiest around, sure to take your breath away the moment you step in. After marveling at Charlotte’s holy grounds, head over to NarroWay Productions, “The Broadway of Christian Entertainment”, for a behind-the-scenes look at how this theater puts on epic performances, spectacular holiday shows, delicious dinner theater, tours and field trips.
Feel the Thrill Tour
