The Myrtle Beach Convention Center team consistently exceeds the expectations of visiting groups. How do they do it?  We met with their team to discover how they’re setting the standard for excellent service and Southern hospitality.

Tell us about your "First in Service” philosophy. How do you extend exceptional care to visiting groups?

First in Service is a commitment to our guest as well as each other. We believe we can enhance people’s quality of life through care. We can make a difference, and it starts with every interaction. We extend hospitality to our clients and guests, seeking to fulfill all of their needs. Listening and learning about our clients is the key, understanding their goals and culture, while matching great experiences that will help bring their vision to life.

People know Myrtle Beach as an ocean vacation spot. What should people know about your stunning Convention Center?

When people visit they are surprised that Myrtle Beach’s year round population is only about 35,000 residents. They love our hometown feel! But central to our community is a beautiful, modern 250,000 square-feet convention center, with 100,800 square-feet of column-free exhibit space! Nearby we have great hotels with over 5,000 room accommodations.

For the city to build a venue of this quality and size demonstrates our desire to serve large groups and be a destination known for hosting great meetings at a great value.

Myrtle Beach is becoming one of the southeast’s most popular meeting destinations. Why? What makes you sought-after and unique?

Our 60 miles of beachfront certainly makes us stand out! People love the experience of meeting at an affordable coastal convention center with the ability to enjoy attractions and great offsite venues just steps away. We offer a total package–flexible meeting spaces, branded hotels, a variety of entertainment and good food, and the majesty of the Atlantic Ocean’s finest beaches. We have it all!

Who should we reach out to to find our more?
